DSR Update for Student and Seniors Housing

Article By
Steve Lansbury, Senior Vice President

Due to the strong performance of these loans and a favorable outlook in the market, effective immediately, we are no longer requiring debt service reserves for newly originated Student and Seniors Housing Loans.

In addition, we will be waiving the minimum 12-month hold period for the release of existing debt service reserves for Student Housing loans. Otherwise, existing debt service reserves for Student and Seniors Housing will be released in accordance with the provisions in the loan agreements.

We’re pleased to make these changes and see it as a reflection on the strength of these assets and our partnership working with our Optigo® lenders.
